About Us
Who we are
Located at Goff Street in the heart of Roscommon town, Topline Wards is a fourth generation family owned and run business. Currently managed by Michael, John and James Ward, supported by an experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated team, customers can avail of expert advice and guidance.
What we do
Topline Wards carry an extensive range of hardware, DIY and household goods. We also stock agricultural supplies, timber and fuels. We are proud of our reputation for friendly and efficient service, quality products, great value, and as a stockist of those hard to find items.
Our history
Established in the early 1890s at our current location, the business commenced as a grocery, bar and hardware shop that soon grew to include grain and wool merchants. Over the years the business expanded to incorporate neighbouring premises and began to provide agricultural supplies, timber and fuel supplies, and an increased offering of hardware, DIY and household products. The business is currently run by the fourth generation of the Ward family.
The local community
We aid and support numerous charities and organisations in our region, and acknowledge the great work and effort of so many voluntary bodies in boosting our local community.
The Topline group
Becoming part of Ireland’s largest DIY buying group Topline, in 1997, has been a crucial support to the survival and success of our business. Alongside the other 150 plus stores nationwide that are affiliated to the Topline group, we benefit from its bulk purchasing power, from its relationship with the world’s largest independent hardware group, Ace Hardware, and from its ongoing investments in marketing, staff training, and merchandising. Collectively, these factors allow Topline Wards to compete effectively with national and international chains and to offer our customers competitive prices, better friendly service, and a welcoming shopping environment.
Everyone in Topline Wards is working hard every day to serve our customers and ensure our existence for many years to come.
